NTP wins Fantuzzi Agency in Australia
Leading national materials handling company, NTP Forklifts Australia, has been appointed the Fantuzzi Reggiane Australasia agent for Australia for an initial three-year period.
The appointment has been hailed as a victory for both parties, with NTP gaining access to an extensive product range in the port and container handling environment and Fantuzzi benefiting from NTP’s national coverage and considerable experience in selling and servicing large forklift trucks.
NTP Forklifts Australia Sales & Operations Director, Nick Perdelis, said the open-ended three-year agreement is of significant strategic importance to the Adelaide-based company as it plugs the gap that previously existed in the large machinery market.
The agreement extends across all Australian states and territories and allows NTP to sell the full Fantuzzi Reggiane range, as well as provide after-sales service and spare parts.
"Fantuzzi is the undisputed world leader in the design and manufacture of container handling equipment," said Mr Perdelis.
"We didn't have products in this area and our appointment means we can now offer our customers the most complete range of forklift and materials handling equipment in the country – from entry-level Hytsu pallet trucks to the largest of Fantuzzi’s reach stackers."
NTP Forklifts Australia already represents major brands such as Manitou and its rough terrain forklifts and telescopic handlers, TCM and its industrial forklifts and Taylor-Dunn and its family of industrial personnel and burden carriers.
The company employs almost 250 people nationally and recently added Fantuzzi expert, Tony Binnington, to the team as National Fantuzzi Manager. It has six service workshops and over 50 mobile service vans for quick on-site repairs and maintenance, a A$2-million parts inventory, and counter sales and dispatch in every state.
Fantuzzi manufactures the largest range of port handing systems in the world, making it the leading one-stop supplier. Its products include Fantuzzi reach stackers, container lift trucks, side loaders and forklifts for the 10-tonne to 70-tonne market.
Commenting on the agreement, Fantuzzi Reggiane Australasia’s General Manager, Mike Ritchie, said the company has achieved its success through a strategy of working with committed and qualified agents and dealers.
"We are delighted to have entered into this partnership with NTP Forklifts Australia and are confident that in NTP, we have an agent with the skills and attributes to complement our operations and help us further grow the local market," he said.
"Our choice of NTP came down to three key factors – the company’s national coverage, its track record as one of the country’s largest and most successful privately-owned businesses in the materials handling field, and its familiarity – through the Manitou agency – with selling and servicing large machines."
