Leading local importer and distributor of some of the world’s finest brands of materials handling equipment, NTP Forklifts Australia, has unveiled a new range of electric stackers and pallet movers tailored for the local market.

The new Manilec range from respected French manufacturer Manitou is available nationally through NTP’s extensive network of interstate offices and dealers.

And, says NTP’s National Sales Manager, Damien Garvey, the latest models are a significant strategic addition to the company as they plug a gap that previously existed in the battery electric warehouse equipment sector.

“The introduction of the Manilec range, for which we enjoy sole distribution rights in Australia, significantly strengthens our standing as a complete supplier of quality materials handling equipment.

“Whether it’s a Hytsu entry level standard hand pallet truck, a top-of-the range, a Fantuzzi container handler or anything in between that you're after, you'll get it at NTP – and with the added benefit of our product back-up and after sales support,” says Mr Garvey.

NTP Forklifts Australia also represents Manitou’s rough terrain forklifts and telescopic handlers, TCM’s industrial forklifts and the Taylor-Dunn family of industrial personnel and burden carriers.

The Manilec offerings in the electric stacker and pallet mover ranges boast a contemporary European design coupled with engineering excellence to deliver products that enhance performance, productivity, safety and operator comfort.

The electric stacker range is purpose built with the warehouse and confined spaces in mind and boasts an impressive turning radius of about 1400mm. It offers three different lift capacities – 1000kg, 1400kg and 1600kg – and six different mast configurations ranging from 2.9m to 4.3 m.

The entry level models ES 410 and ES 410E have a maximum load capacity of 1000kg while the midrange ES 412 – with an electromagnetic drive brake – has a load capacity of 1200kg and the top-of-the-range ES 416 a 1600kg load capacity.

All models boast a low noise emission of just 65dB.

The pallet mover family offers entry level walk-behind battery electric versions with load capacities of 1600kg, 1800kg, 2000kg and 2200kg, all with battery lives of up to eight hours, automatic breaks and cold store protection to minus 10 degrees.

These are complemented by three ride-on options – a fixed platform machine, a foldaway platform machine and a foldaway machine with side restraints – all with lift capacities of 2200kg, eight hours of battery life on a single charge, an automatic break and cold store protection to minus 10 degrees.

All machines in the pallet mover range feature an off-centre side mounted control handle that provides the driver with improved visibility.

“The new range of Manilec electric stackers and pallet movers have already proved their worth in Europe in the retail and warehousing industries and we remain confident that they will find favour with Australian order pickers and packers, to the point where we will capture about 10% of a market that is estimated at about 2,500 machines per annum,” concludes Mr Garvey.
